Product Information & Details
What is Chrysin & how does it work? – Chrysin belongs to a group of chemicals called flavonoids. It occurs naturally in herbs and plants such as passionflowers and wood butterflies. This active ingredient is also found in honey and propolis.
Chrysin is thought to increase testosterone through two main mechanisms. One is by blocking the production of oestrogen. The other is by inhibiting aromatase. According to research, chrysin may have a significant effect on reducing oestrogen production in male users.
Another enzyme that affects testosterone is the aromatase enzyme. This enzyme plays a vital role in the conversion of androgens into oestrogens. Simply put, an increase in aromatase increases oestrogen. It reduces testosterone. Therefore, research suggests that chrysin may reduce the production of aromatase, thereby reducing the conversion rate of androgens to oestrogens.
What is nettle root extract & how does it work? – Another herbal extract known for its beneficial effect on free testosterone levels is Urtica dioica, commonly called nettle root. Sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) actively inhibit the level of free testosterone by binding to it, thereby rendering it biologically inactive.
Research has found, however, that nettle extract has a greater affinity for SHBG than does testosterone. As a result, SHBG more readily binds to the constituents of the nettle extract, successfully counteracting its effect and thereby increasing the level of free testosterone.
What is apigenin & how does it work? – The flavonoid apigenin (which comes from celery) may increase testosterone production by stimulating Leydig cells in the testes and has been shown in some animal studies to potentially increase testosterone levels. It may also help prevent the conversion of testosterone to oestrogen by potentially blocking the aromatase enzyme.
Bioperine has been shown to increase the absorption of several nutrients and beneficial plant compounds.
